What flooring for stairs?

Having trouble figuring the best thing to do with my stairs. I have a split entry home with carpeted stairs that need to be replaced. I would prefer to change them to hardwood treads for durability.

My upstairs is all hardwood flooring with mahogany trim, mahogany window sills, doors, built ins, etc. are all mahogany. The landing and downstairs are the same tile (they look different in the photo due to lighting downstairs). Downstairs trim and doors is still mahogany color.

The downstairs room visible from the landing has dark wood LVP.

Originally I wanted to do oak stair treads with mahogany trim to match upstairs, but I'm wondering if the oak treads would look out of place going downstairs towards tile and the dark wood LVP?

What might look best for these stairs besides carpet? We get snow and rain and the carpet gets trashed from people coming in and out of the weather.
