Beautiful home so serene . I love them to look a but I love color too much to live that way. I have done this for clients and they love everything about it. The black to me is the perfect neutral in that home

It's the BONES of the house that contain that neutral palette. Moi aussi indeed!

True about the bones, but even if you don't own a farmhouse in Provence you can still get that feeling even in a tract home.

Another thing I noticed is that, except for the library room, the ceilings look to be regular 8 foot, which is usually denigrated by new-home builders.

Agree you can get the feel in a tract house, any house! But you need the textures, and the contrast.

Think creamy smooth ice cream, nuts, granola, and a drizzle of great chocolate sauce : ) gee...that sounds really good , if a bit too early for that treat lol

I think I love color too much to have a house like this. We have neutral walls but gorgeous rugs with some color to brighten up the interior.

Oh I agree totally, Red! I love color as well, and pattern, and I have them in all my rooms. But not everyone does, and this is a great example of how to do it without it looking bland and boring.

Like most designers, I love an awful lot. Which is why most of the time I simply take out re do urges on clients, and put any in here to the back burner of Oh hell, I can't think about it anymore!....It's perfectly FINE!
