Think about painting a dark accent wall for a TV wall...it doesn't need much decor after that. The artwork could be enough. Remove the items from on top of the speakers.

It depends upon how much storage that you need. If storage isn't an issue, I would do a long floating console on the wall. A floating console will be less "imposing" - and will make the room feel bigger if the floor underneath is exposed vs. covered.

You could add some floating shelves if you still feel like it needs something. Personally, I would rather have a couple of beautiful pieces of art on the wall vs. many little items on floating shelves. I would add some moulding on the sides - maybe a picture frame style - and put the large pieces of art on either side of the TV with accent lights shining down on the art.

Adding some slats to the wall would add some interesting details.

If you'd like to save some money on doing this wall, you could use IKEA Besta units to make your long console. I wouldn't use doors from IKEA - or if I did, I would trim them out in order to make them look custom.

I've never been to an IKEA store - but I purchased some IKEA Besta pieces in order to use them for the media console on the wall in my basement that I am going to have finished soon. I am using the larger size Besta units - and third party doors on them.

I also have to determine the best way to work in a couple tower speakers on the wall - similar to what you have. My SO just spent A LOT of money on these speakers (plus a center speaker + bass ones + side speakers) - so, I don't really have a choice of not having them on the wall. I just am trying to determine the best was to do that in order to not have them "stand out" so much.
