Supply Chain Shortage

It's almost year end 2024.....

I'm not sure how other retailers:appliance shops are but I recently did a parts order for my Wolf Range. For the 15K Ignitors, it's 2 month backorder....

You can only buy from a regional dealer. AKA, if a wolf supplier on the opposite side of the USA has it , you can't even buy from them as contractually, they are only allowed to sell to XYZ area's

Whatever the case may be , can't wrap my head that it's a 2 month BO on this itty bitty ignitor ( if only I spent the time doing homework to see if there is a *OEM* equivalent.....there are no brand markings on my ignitor, so it get's a bit sketchy on researcing it.

Is the part number 813541 or does it look like this? If so, you can buy the part on Amazon or ebay.

no. Not on Amazon but Ebay does have it at like #4X the cost....and the other listing had one for 9X the cost.

I need 5. It is what is is, just slightly blown away on how -locked- in , even when trying to buy parts , I am only eligable to get it from this one *supplier* who is authorized to sell to XYZ states.

Overhaul done ....this time is the final.

I totally forget until I'm knee deep in it, but the hardest part is just seating the pan top and making sure all 6 burner gaskets are lined up. take a bit of tweaking, then putting a bolt in to hold one burner down, then tweaking and putting a hold down, etc till you get down to the last burner, and since the pan is now tigher to the stove....the last burner takes forever to line it up good.

Once the under side pan gaskets are done...the top burner O ring is the REAL PITA....for those who have done this job, I'm sure you know. The ### O ring they use does not sit perfect in the channel and you need to manage dropping it down and finessing it to make sure that O ring is flush in the channel (more often than not) - the O ring tends to slip out of the channel as its not sized to the channel...

AKIN to replacing a gasket on a valve cover or timing cover where you need to finesse the gasket at times, but doing a stove add the complexity since it's still 1 *cover* but you have multiple openings to align against the *1* cover.
