If the rug is big enough, pull it out further so that the stools on the right also stand on it. Remove the small picture next to the window.. I think the picture gallery should work but it's impossible to comment much further without seeing it in place, as it will bring its own colours and weight into the room. You need to check that the lamp doesn't cause a sheen or reflection on the pictures on that side of the gallery that makes it hard to see them.

Three more pics are needed, to show the right edge of the room with the stools, what you have behind the terracotta chair, and the view from the window towards the photographer, for really useful advice to be given.

I think I'd like to see simple drapes on the window..

Please post more pictures we need to see all sides of the room. Also we need to see the gallery wall. Everything looks smooshed into a corner.

I agree give the seating a bit more breathing room. The chair looks up against the AC. I see very little legroom.

Move the sofa and chair a foot towards the camera.

Replace the spool table with a square side table that fits the whole corner. Place a table lamp on it.

Replace the coffee table with a rectangular upholstered ottoman for the sofa and chair. One with legs would be nice to see the rug.

Move the floor lamp to the other side of the sofa. Lower it for reading.

Larger decor items are better than small decor pieces. Limit small ones.

You need a few throw pillows....complement your art in style and color.

I think with these changes, the seating will feel more inviting.
