We have a traditional colonial home from 1920s with wainscoting and box molding below it in the main entry and hallways. I want to add more trim in my adjacent dining room (located to one side of the entry) and wondering if I need to match the exact same molding? In general, should the height and dimensions of the molding need to match (all essentially squares) throughout the house? (pic in comments)
