We have friends with a tiny powder room. They put a shelf above the door for towels and toilet paper.

It is a powder room no much needed for storage at all. There are some really cool tiny vanities on Wayfair but we need pics and a floor plan to scale showing the toilet placement and the rad . Post here in jpeg format in a comment DO NOT start another post .I do see the room in your idea book but not helpful for real help.

What do you need to store? Couple extra rolls of TP, a couple hand towels, other? It's just a sink and toilet in there, so you likely don't need much. If it's not a storage medicine cabinet, you could add in some storage by using one. It looks like the current mirror sits out a bit, but not sure if it's actual storage or not.

The little glass shelf over the toilet is underwhelming. You could put in some more/heartier shelving on that wall. Or put in some shelving on the opposite wall. But not both, that would make that little alcove feel kind of clausterphobic. You could also look into TP storage that might fit between your toilet and wall, or tucked between the pedistal and radiator. There's also wall mount ones meant to be decorative and storage.

You might be able to put a shelf or shallow cabinet (maybe?) on the wall above the door. Maybe a shelf above on the vanity wall too.

Don't touch your tile. It's in wonderful shape and looks great.

Above the toilet looks like a good area for a nice storage cabinet.

You can't see it in the photo, but there's a rattan basket on the floor under the sink to store TP and additional hand towels. In your case, you can add a trainrack or shelf above the toilet with a basket or bin.

(I dont click on links) but but, look at the back of the door for storage. also, shelves - over the toilet, overvthe doorway. What about a freestanding unit? They can be as small as 7” across.

Man, I don't see what photos you guys are responding to! And didn't she say 'en suite" not "powder room"??

Oops! My bad. I missed the en suite part. Even so, the solution I suggested is the same.

Another idea is to think outside the four walls. If the bathroom is too small, how about a dresser or armoir on the wall outside the bathroom filled with towels, soaps, toothpaste and other necessities? Perhaps move the makeup to another room. A cute vanity in the bedroom.

Pictures would help with specifics, but there is always a solution.

I've had the exact same problem with radiator in the way, small primary bathroom, lack of storage. Can you draw a picture with measurements of where your radiator is located in comparison to your drain pipe? We might be able to help you find a vanity with some storage. A floor plan of the whole bathroom would help too.

Are you merely wishing to add a new sink and some storage pieces or are you gut renovating the bathroom?

Do you have a recessed medicine cabinet - could you add one? What is the space like on the wall behind the door to the bathroom? That is often a good place to add recessed shelves or a large cabinet.

What is right outside the bathroom? We have a closet next to our bathroom and put an Elfa back of door shelf organizer on the inside of it to hold everything - OTC medicine, TP, hair dryer, big bottles of lotion. This door feels like an extension of our bathroom.

Previous owners managed to squeeze a small glass shelving stand in the bathroom but it made it too claustrophobic for us. I like everything put away and tidy.

I missed the ensuite part too. The fact is we have no idea without some answers from the OP. I used a wall mounted Ikea CD cabinet for storage in my main bathroom it has glass doors and IMO forces me to be tidy and I use frosted glass jars for stuff like nail clippers, shavers , epsom salts , I have enough stuff to allow use every day but not stuff stored there not used all the time. it has space for a lot of things all nice looking Mine look like this but not recessed , Mine is 18 yrs old cost less then $300 and still going strong all glass shelves that were adjustable too. I think often you need to think outside the box for storage ideas .THis main bath is also used by our international students they each have a caddie with all their stuff they bring in and take back to their rooms . Show every measurement , where the toliet is and the door leading to the bedroom

Your room appears to be a powder room rather than a room with a shower or tub, correct? It is in pristine condition!!! Including the fabulous period tile and sconces. My suggestion is to add a shallow painted cupboard directly across from the sink (the other side of the room). Store necessary bottles, etc. there. Tuck a toilet paper holder behind the toilet out of view for access to rolls. I would use the top of the radiator and have a marble top made for the entire top. Then I would find a large silver tray and place other toiletries items on top of it. If more storage is needed than that…I would dedicate a dresser to those items in your bedroom nearby.
