There are hundreds of species around the world. Research the topic on Google.

Species roses are as heterogenous as cultivated hybrids...there are no characteristics common to all...not colour, size or petal count or even remontancy. You will really need to research every wildling if you are considering adding any to a garden. No single posting on a forum could begin to do justice to the varied culture and history of species roses.

They write entire books on this subject! You remember books.............those hefty, information filled, illustrated guides that offer all that detailed, documented information that you are not going to find by Googling or requesting info on social media.

Do some independent research and visit your local library. All the info you need is out there but it may take a bit of work and effort on your part to uncover it.
