fireplace nook decor

I’m very struggled for a long time on this corner of the living room of an our ski house and we finally have a built in firewood holder. Yay

Trying to decorate the area on the shelf and the wall. My husband wants to hand the vertical ski frame (currently on the shelf) above the tools (green circle). I’m ok with that but what should go on the shelf in the corner. Open to all ideas for removing / keeping. Thanks.

The corner seems fine to me. I would not hang anything on the wall there with that view.

I know you didn't ask but the Loon Mountain art could be replaced with something bigger...more like 3'x4'.

P.S. I saw the whole room in your other Post and yes, leave the right side of the window wall blank.

I have no problem with hanging the picture on the right of the window. You wouldn't need to replace it with anything on top of the firewood built-in. No need to clutter up the area.
