I am no fan of accent walls. They look like you were afraid to commit to a color or couldn't decide. Why not paint the whole room artichoke?

I'd flip your L desk so the short end remains where it is but the longer end is not against the wall. Then you can you your chair behind it and the only wall on zoom calls will be the wall just behind the chair. I think this looks best on calls, and then you reduce the chance of your exercise equipment being visible in the background of calls.

I think the whole room in artichoke may come off too dark- I know it’s just paint but I have weird ceilings and painting light over dark seems tedious if I don’t like it.

The square box on the floor isn’t a rug- it’s the work out area so we need not impede on that.

I consult for clients who are in workout positive. It’s not uncommon to see race bibs/ medals/ bikes mounted to the wall.

But I had t thought of me facing that way. I furniture placed against walls isn’t ideal but it’s a very small room.

I think an accent wall in green or blue would be awesome for your gym/office. Alabaster trim works well with Kilim Beige and Casa Blanca, too. For sound dampening, try fabric panels or rugs; they'll cozy up the space. Keep your decor minimal to maintain that adult vibe.

I just found out I can’t center my equipment because where my studs are so it will be slightly oiff center, so my wood slats are out (and probably a little too trendy.

While I love the moody and color drenched vibe- it’s not really “me”.

We will be pulling out the bed in the next day or two so hopefully I can get a better “true shot” and photo shop it.

My only concern on the accent wall os the line to the ceiling is not a right angle so I while I know I can get it sharp and straight time not sure it won’t look a little weird.

with all the funky angles and walls, I would do everything walls and ceiling in the same nice light color (there's not much trim so I'd prob leave that alone)

Ya- I’m leaning towards casa Blanca for everything… and then maybe some kind of art in the colors?

Still unsure what I like. I want color.. but also shying away from 2 accent walls.

I n eed a to scale floor plan and honestly this mix of use makes no sense I have a ome gym what equipement do you think you need ? My gym barely works 8x15' so what equipment do you NEED in the gym and weter the treadmill folds back or not it still needs the sapce for it to be used . Wall color is not the issue here the actul space is odd and I need a ton more info before wall color even starts to be chosen . The floor plan IMO will not keep a gym and an office in the same space . Zooms can use different backgrounds not your space at all so IMO that is not an issue, I think a gym needs a designated space they are not really attractive to be honest. They should have good flooring, a huge mirror but I need to know more .The oics of the space and the floor plan do not compute in my head . I see a huge storgae cabinet I assume that is going what are the double doors leading to for instance? If that storage stays then show it on the drawing it takes up a huge amount of space .

Paint the walls white, rip out the carpet, and replace the carpet with carpet tiles, to bring a bit of color and texture to the space. Carpet tiles work great with gym equipment and are easy to put down. Maybe that's where you bring in your green/earth tones. Instead of an accent wall, put up a floor to ceiling mirror which will help reflect more light.

Added two more green colors

Here is the scaled drawing.

I wanted brown flooring instead of black and that 2x the cost of the rubber floor, so I got a quote for hardwoods and that isn’t much more. So we will be putting in hardwoods to match living room and also adding hardwood to our master bedroom.

But the carpet tiles - I hadn’t thought off!

The treadmill is gone. The old cabinets and Murphy bed at gone.

We bought a tonal wall gym that suggests a 7x7 workout Area, no other equipment.

Room has been painted except accent wall with casa Blanca.

It’s a funky room. Our first home, but plan to be here until my 5 year old graduates highschool. After living here for 6 years…, I have a laundry list of things to avoid in my next home.

Here is where I’m at design wise.

Green paint is purchased - I love my ( unprofessional/ diy designed) space but am open to changes if I can tweak things.

My race medals are under the tv.

The room is so small, I would not do an accent wall. Put an area rug on the floor, and let it be the accent, if you really think you need one.

If I don't do an accent wall.. how to I make it look balanced with needing to mount the bike in the room?

We are planning on putting hardwoods in there, but I like the carpet tile idea as it seems to be 1/4 the cost of wood.

All walls (except what is suppose to be the accent wall - which I may change to not be an accent) and ceilings have been painted casa blanca and I will trim out with alabaster.

If I don't do the accent? I did like the wood slats on the wall for acoustics but would be willing to do something else.

Would this carpet work? I dont know if I love it.. but green (my favorite color.. I had apple green walls and hunter trim in my childhood bedroom - bless my mom for letting me pick it) - but this feels more corporte than I like.. but organic style designs don't really feel like "me"

The only two things I love in my house are this rug and this lamp.. and my office chair because I can put in 16 hour days and it doesn't hurt my back.
