Bathroom looks boring! Need some advice

Hi everyone!

I’m looking for some advice on how to accessorize my bathroom. I’ve done most of the basics (fixtures, paint, etc.) but now I want to add some finishing touches to give it a polished, cohesive look. Trays, organizing bathroom essentials, and ideas for towels, plants, or even artwork that can add a little personality.

Thanks in advance!

What colors are you drawn to? Can you post other pics of the room so we can see where art work could be placed and what size? Do you want a masculine vibe in here, something more feminine? I'd start with interesting towels and art. Then the accessories can follow.

Great amount of counter and storage space, and nice large mirrors. But, there are some odd choices here too - transitional style lighting and more contemporary vanity, sink, faucets, hardware. The wall color and counter color clash. I agree that styling can distract from these issues. This room can go in any direction. You need to imbue your own aesthetic and we need to know more about what that is.

I like bathrooms to first be easy to clean so not a ton of useless stuff on counters . Is this just a main bath or connected to to the bedroom? Waht do you NEED on the counters first? I do not like the lights but that is a personal choice . Can we see the whole space please post those pics here in a comment. I like some extra towels in a color stacked up I oftn use a vase with a single orchid stem they last for a long time . A nice soap pump , and the hand towel and other tolwels in a color Art always livens up a space and IMO folded hand towels are good on the counter not a towel ring so I would remove the ring and add a piece of art there instead..

WHERE is the rest of this bath? More pics? What does the bedroom look like? What colors are in that bedroom?

It' sterile right now, no texture, no color. ..no real contrast.

    What were you going for?

Would definitely suggest adding artwork. Even the hand towels you add will make an impact.

for color and style inspiration look in your closet. Items we wear and love the most are a good clue. Let’s see — denim look towels? 🤪

Am I going to be the only one to say this....WALLPAPER! Do a vinyl wallpaper with some texture if you are nervous, or get a little bold and give it some more personality with some color and/or pattern.

You could also add a little something with a colorful bathmat or even a small Turkish rug. They have a gazillion of those on Etsy. They are one of a kind and really well priced!

Good luck! And have fun with it. Design shouldn't take itself too seriously! ;)

Yes, to what Nicole Forina Home suggested. Wallpaper can be beautiful in a bathroom!

First decision is how you want bathroom to feel - neutral, bold or soft accents. Look on Pinterest and search ”modern light wood bathrooms” if unsure. Choosing the art first and using as your jumping off point is the easiest method.

EXCELLENT question based on the single photo : ) Forgive the drone, but add pictures of the rest to include the bathing feature?

OMG !! thank you everyone for the advice . I was traveling so I could not send the other side but here it is now ☺️

I was thinking about going for some charcoal/black accents since the rest of my house is black and white and I have white tile floors

Once again thank you everyone !

Get some baskets for the towel cubies on the vanity and maybe go with a jute runner and white textured towels.

So I was on your LR post and IMO use the same info there as in the bathroom . I love simple but color is your friend . I cannot tell you how much I hate toiet rooms but now you have one do something fun in there maybe tat is where some wallpaper could go

Given the new photos and info, I think wallpapering water closet would be a great idea and then accessorize around it.
