What do that instructions call for for the cork underlayment? The engineered floor? Is cork allowed under the engineered floor you are intending to use?

Hi millworkman,

I am replacing the existing woodfloor which is engineered but thinner already installed over 1/4" cork underlayment on a concrete slab.

The cork doesn't come with instructions.

What about the engineered flooring? Many are not allowed over cork. How flat is the slab? Many floors require flat to within an 1/8" over 10' or no warranty. Are you using a mositure barrier or retarder? Is that allowed with the cork or is cork allowed with the barrier?

Cork can be installed under any of their wood floors.
I also ask my initial question regarding the roller.
For anyone reading this,
It is not required for cork sheet, the flat side of the trowel can be used.

You should roll the bubbles out. You don't want uneven surfaces. You can use a hand held roller like a laminate roller. You do not need a 150 lb steel floor roller.
