Living room redesign

Hello everyone.

My wife and I are looking to redesign our current living room.

We feel the sofas are too far away, we dont like looking high up at the TV and I feel the space isnt as cozy as we would like.

I was thinking moving the tv to the wall that the sofa with the chaise is. Having either 2 sofas facing each other or 1 sofa opposite to 2 lounge chairs.

That leaves the funky wall with the 3 windows. Its perfect for the holiday season as we can place the tree there but how should we utilize that space the best?

How would you guys/gals furnish and decorate this space. We will not be using the furniture, we are moving the big sofa to our basement family room and my sister is taking the sofa in front of the window area

IMO remove the TV from the space . Then arrange a nice conversation space maybe a sofa , no chaise and 2 chairs all focused on the FP . I never have had TV in my LR and never will . You have a FR use it,

As of right now we dont use the fireplace, with the little ones we feel more comfortable not burning wood. We do plan on getting a gas insert for it though.

The reason for the TV is my wife (for whatever reason isnt a fan of basements). The kids and myself hang out down there but she just isnt a fan, when we all want to watch TV together before bed we watch in the living room.

What would you suggest for that window area where the non chaise sofa is?

The window area would look good with two comfortable chairs and a small table in between. When the tree is up, put the table away.
