Take some time to look at the pictures in Houzz and save 20-25 pictures of rooms you like in your Ideabook. Right now you have just shown us a blank slate with no clues. You have to start somewhere. If one picture you find really speaks to you, add it to your original post or in a comment so we get an idea of what you like.

Also post a picture of the 4th wall - it'd probably the kitchen - so we need to see how it realtes to this room. Also some measurements would be helpful for rug suggestions.
