Please as Jan asked BTW this is not IMO a good place for a gaming space unless this is an adult son in which case he can do this himself. I think kids have enough sleep issues apparently without a gaming system in their bedroom or for the matter adults with offices in bedrooms

I think you could buy a bed with a desk underneath, which can save space.

What are the dimensions? Could a sleeping “area” work on wall with window, allowing for chair/side table opposite gaming and importantly, creating some separation and storage.

Agree with everyone. Please provide a measured floor plan so we can understand the space and provide assistance.

If one were to ask a pediatrician, my guess is they tell you to remove the gaming from his sleeping quarters, put it in full view of you in living space, add ear buds and a silence to the monitor....and keep a vigil. : ) and limit sessions as well.

Many things begin as really good and innocent fun. Just as many turn out to be anything but.

I've seen grown adults, nearly at addiction on these. To the exclusion of ALMOST all else.

OUr grand kids cannot even take their phones or laptops to bed so for sure no gaming .

I hate the idea of a gaming system in a bedroom for children--so isolating from the family, not to mention interference with healthy sleep. How old is your son?

If gaming system must stay, then:

--Pull it as far as possible towards the doorway. (Is there any room on the right side of the doorway?) Please provide measurements for the room and the gaming table. If it could fit on the doorway wall to the right, it wouldn't dominate the room.

--As Maureen suggests, place a low platform bed across the window wall. The head of the bed should face away from gaming system.

-- Add atrractive duvet and back pillows to the bed to pull visual attention away from the gaming setup to make the room more inviting.

--Add a bamboo shade over the window.

--Get a long, low dresser for the wall opposite the gaming system and encourage your son to choose framed art on that wall, again to take the focus off the gaming system.

It's two days with no drawing and measure for a bad idea in a bedroom.

I agree . I just watched a TED talk on how badly our body needs real sleep there is noway that happens with kid and gaming set up in the bedroom
