What beautiful specimens! You are so lucky to be enjoying your fabulous plants. I imagine you having something in bloom year round. I have some snow in the forecast for Wednesday....sigh.

How lucky indeed Babka! Even though we still have not had a freeze, my hostas are done….. but my little Morello Agastache is still blooming! Hard to believe….. usual freeze date is mid October.

Never had a hosta flower this late, but I still have some from the Halcyon family with green leaves, The last few evenings have dropped to the high forties, and the deciduous trees are turning fabulous colors. So we DO get fall colors here, but also we can have cyclamen, pansies, and snapdragons flowering all winter, along with camelias and bouganvillias.

Around Thanksgiving, I play "lady frost fairy" and cut off all the Hosta foliage in my pots. They will emerge with fresh eyes around March. Very different from my years living in Chicago area.
