Debra, Forest God has not been vigorous and last season didnt help. It was among many that didn’t fare well. I love it, just hoping it does better this year, due for a leap.

I love Chilled Orange Sorbet, reminds me a bit of the one below I forgot to post.

I forgot to add Orange Smoothie. It is my second attempt and it is doing well. The color here is more saturated than I see, best photo.

I'll not post Primal Scream since Sherry posted such a great photo of it.

Acclaim is a reliable one. Mid-late, large flowers.

Coral Majority blooms well every year, plenty of buds, nice and bright.

South Seas also very reliable and bright.

Orange Velvet. I never get a good picture of it, always looks too yellow. It is nice and tall, large flowers with good substance.

Highland Pinched Fingers, gives lots of good shows daily, very bright.

Primal Scream x South Seas, new this year. Really love it.

I'm getting down to the shorter rows of gardening chores. We haven't had a freeze yet, but the cold nights we have had in the high 30's off and on took their toll on my warm season annuals which will get the heave ho soon. Have almost all of the daylilies moved back up front to their warmer, west facing, winter grounds. I sure hope we don't continue with these really cold winters we've been having these last few years..........Sherry: Cat Dancer always looks so good for you in your climate. I so like it.........Debra: Chilled Orange Sorbet is a pretty pale one. Nice form.............Brad: I lost South Seas after growing it for decades this last cold winter. I'm happy to see yours still going strong.......I have quite a few in this catagory. So many shades of orange I like. I'll post a few here and do more later:

Abstract Orange. A Salter. He did well with the color orange of the ones I've tried. Has good heat resistance:

Another Salter Orange. Dazzling color; very heat hardy. A long time favorite:

One of the few patterned daylilies I grow. Large flowers. Needs garaged over winter with my pot system, but I will not be without it:

To God Be The Glory:

One Sherry and I both share. Color shifts a bit as day goes on, but mostly orange range in my climatge. This is a rebloom in August.

Nan: I like Cantaloupe Capers and the edge on Something In My Teeth. A shame it's a short one.....Thanks Brad. Burning Inheritance is an eye catcher in the border.

I'll add the rest of my orange shades. Didn't realize I still had so many in my much reduced collection. I do like orange though so that suites me fine.

I've had NO WAY JOSE for years now. It produces beautiful blooms that have good color retention and heat hardiness, but it remains a short plant:

Trying to find a dayliliy similar to No Way Jose, but with taller scapes I trialed Gossard's Blazing Double Sunset this year. It had a lot going for it, and if you live in a cooler summer climate then mine it more then likely would be colorfast. But it sure wasn't here when it went over 90..

Another one of my must haves. It's been with me from almost the beginning.

Coral Corduroy:

Fortunately for me, Nan almost duplicated the color of my much loved Burning Inheritance with her Muy Caliente. A really nice daylily that is cold hardier then BI in my pot system.

Muy Caliente:

A really nice orange Sherbet color that takes our heat very well. Repeated for me in August.

Better Than Ice Cream:

A new one for me this year. All the blooms were formed this way, but who knows next year if they will be singles. Really pretty color blend regardless of form:

Maryl - The ones you have in this category are all so pretty! Nan's Muy Caliente is a standout. Coral Corduroy and Better Than Ice Cream always attract my attention.

Nancy, I knew you'd have a lot in this category! Cantaloupe Caper is my very favorite of yours, followed by Bob Marley and Dave Chase Golden Glow.

Brad: I always think of you when I post doubles. I know how much you dislike them. Even perhaps more then I dislike floppy UFs. You know, a touch of the right shade of orange with your beautiful lavenders could make a pretty pairing.......Nan: I'll be on the lookout for Double Blazing Busby. Since I blew out my knee this summer, I'm bound and determined to cut back even more, so adding many new daylilies is something I need to avoid. But you know how that goes. I saw Flames of the West and just had to look it up. It's one of yours! To me the white midrib sets it apart from many. Temptingly Nice...........Maryl
