This is such a fun, mid-century type fireplace! What does the rest of the room/house look like if you have any other photos? Any design or style goals or inspo pictures?

Below is a visual of my suggestions.

- White wash the stone but not the large tiles

- With heat resistant paint, paint the fireplace screen in black

- Build a narrow shelf unit on the left side

- If in your budget, it would be nice to have a hardwood floor

- Add a mantel in the same natural tone as the wood you'll be using in the shelving unit

- Place some decor on the mantel

It’s great as is. Paint the brass black or remove altogether. Hang something interesting on the brick and call it a day. It’s not a Georgian drawing room.
