feet. For myself I don't care for coffee tables and never have had one in my living room.

Buy one 1st and them we'll work on how to style it.

I love your cute doggie! You could use an area rug. That will define the living room. Get one big enough to hold the seating.

An ottoman is nice for the feet as mentioned, then use trays if you need for drinks.

To get any valuable suggestions we need to see more of the space, the 4 walls surrounding the area, and take a picture from further back.

LOVE older homes with radiators. They do make for decorating challenges unless they are changed to baseboard style. Unusual to have such an open floorplan too so likely a significant update has previously been implemented.

That said, here is a picture of our present quarters in a downsized ranch. We‘ve selected a round stone-capped coffee table. Hopefully we can share helpful ideas.

Following is our prior 2-story LR. Over the years (27) several coffee tables were in place, even an English tea table - smaller was always necessary in order to have the Secretary open.

I love that coffee table but not in white. Get one like it but in the blond wood of your countertop.

For a carpet, you won't see much pattern with your furniture so I would get a solid color. I like blue.

You could use a round dining table under the fiber chandelier. Isn't that the space for one?
