What is the distance between sofa back and ledge(?)

If there's enough room you could 'stack ' them over the sofa in a grid

Not enough room to stack them, only 54" from couch to ledge.

Hang them like you have them arranged. Put a tall plant to the left to fill in the blank area.

Is there another wall in that living room area? They don’t have to be on same wall - you could have 2 groupings. Two cats over sofa & elephant & giraffe on another wall. They are very strong images but would still have impact hung in same room.

not really another space, only other option is above the TV, which is across from that recliner. I don't like that idea, I feel like you wouldn't know what to look at, TV or paintings.

#5! And just as you have it with cats opposite & different row. Move to left edge of wall a bit more. For over sofa art - a somewhat related piece with a much quieter image so the animals are the show stopper. Something like a palm or fern filled scene maybe - and also framed in a similara black frame.

I think things in groupings of 3 are more pleasing and balanced. I might pick the 3 that go well together and hang them in a row behind the sofa and use the 4th somewhere else in your home, not in the same room tho. Plant to the left (tall, large scale).
