What is up Tuesday 120324

Even though I retired two years ago I had to go out to the plant and get my roll around toolbox, still fully loaded. If I ever named a prize hosta after myself, it would be The Procrastinator.

It has been cooler here. Nothing like you have it up north. Does anyone on here have to de-snow your roof? That looks crazy. It is best I live in a sun state.

There is not much to do outside right now. I do open the greenhouses evert day as they will get too hot but that is about it. I have been going to the dentist. Eeeek. I still have seeds to start but after the holidays sounds good. This year I may decorate. I pulled out my village, as it has been years, and I do believe I have it set up. Complete with snow.

So, what is up with all of you? I hope you are keeping warm.

Get your photos set up. It is December already. That is a reminder for me but feel free to use.

It is too freaking cold to do anything outside here. Temps in the 20’s and 30 mph wind, sheesh…..Taking the puppy outside is a rude awakening. Charlie, our 10 mo old shih tzu is a handful at times ….two seniors with a puppy? but love him to pieces.

I have my decorations out, the tree goes up by the weekend..

    No snow here, thank goodness.

It is cold here but just at the freezing mark. It will be snowing today with a weather advisory. Only about 4" but the first real snow of the season, I despise winter! I have one roof on an addition that I clean off with a telescopic scoop when snow builds up. I will be out there today raking up the last of the leaves from a huge sugar maple plus pulling the leaves off of a few Hostas that I had not gotten to yet. I will finish naming pics for the alphabet later today.

Paula good for you getting your village set up. I will decorate soon.

Ann it must be a relief to have everything done. So weird that you had a skiff of snow a week or two before I did. Of course yours melted but mine may not.

Sherry Charlie is adorable! They keep us active and that is a good thing until the weather is nasty and we have to take them out.

My grandson will be having his first Christmas this year so it will be really special.

Paula - I can relate to the roll aroung tool box. Before I retired I worked in logistics and drove a fork lift for several years. I loaded many tool boxes on trucks & trailers for retirees and every three years all the tool makers & maintenance people would pull all their tools out prior to our union contract.

Haven't been doing much here in the garden. Lots of snow and low temps. I did get my pots all covered and cleaned up half of my beds. The rest will have to wait until spring. I will prune a few shrubs and bushes when we get a warmer sunny day.

    Y'all have a great week! :-)

Well I am four weeks past my foot surgery, getting around pretty well. But today I decided to decorate the tall tree…..up and down the step stool, reaching, standing a lot…. Well the tree is done, but my foot is killing me!

Tomorrow the other trees…..4 foot table top in the front window, the 3 foot fiber optic tree (easy) and the rest of the week the Santa and children scene the manager and whatever other knock-knacks there are……. Like to have lots of decorations.

Paula, I like your village and your sense of humor!

    Sherry, Charlie is adorable!

Laurie, the holidays are more special when you have a little one to enjoy them with.

lindalana, 250 new hosta labels. You have some work ahead of you.

I'm deciding if I'm finished decorating. I think I'm going lite this year. I've got most of my gifts but still need to wrap them. I send some cards out, and those are done.

My gardens are under snow cover. My cannas and Amaryllis are inside for the winter. I tossed my sad Elephant Ears. And I'm testing some Dusty Miller in containers outside in pots in a protected place. If they make it great, if they don't that's okay, too.

Hopefully, soon I can go through my photos to post on the hosta alphabet. I hope I a lot of people will join in!
