It's not hardy at all in zone 6 if planted outside.

It sometimes struggles here in 7a. Normally, EdL does well here, but it won't survive zero temps and wind. It suffered severe die back last winter in the sudden arctic blast that went below zero. The only thing that saved it was the (very) unusual 9" of snow cover we had. I had exactly 8" tall stubs of EdL in the Spring. It did bounce back this summer, but I doubt it would survive prolonged, or repetitive dips to zero.

Sheila how big does EdL get for you? I saw someone from FL on hmf had said it was disease resistant in FL. Its a beauty!

It is a great, healthy, beautiful rose here, Sultry. Maybe 7 ft x 7 ft in size.
