Bedroom elements are coming together

I have posted a couple of questions related to this project and this week, a lot is happening.

This is the wallpaper on the headboard wall.

Recently acquired new duvet

Have ordered this pillow.

Painter is coming tomorrow! Ceiling color and wall color:

Replacing this little mirror with a 30” round black framed one.

New bed arrives on Saturday!

And because of the darker wall color (also: scope creep) I knew we’d need better light and there really isn’t a spot for more lamps (we have brass bedside lamps)…and our overhead light is small and has only one 60w bulb…so this is on the way. It has 3 60w bulbs.

Will post pics when it’s all done!

New bed is here, yay! PS I know I should do some ironing…

And I should have gotten a bigger accent pillow.

Pretend you don’t see the humidifier.

I thought I had lost 2 pairs of slippers — they were under the bed!

ooPS...Isn't it funny how you can use a room every day and not "see" certain things? I suddenly remembered why we don't have a cute hanging fixture already. The bed is very much NOT centered under the light. Like, way off center. So I am back to flush or semi flush mounts.

ETA I like this one, and it is 1/3 the price of the other one, yay.

It is very coincidental that the painting and bed delivery are happening within the same week! And I ordered the light fixture which is supposedly going to be here by the end of the week?! Merry Christmas to us! I even found dark green sheets that almost match the wall color.

I have this bench in my cart but waiting to see if we really have enough space once the new bed is here.

Our bedroom has always been the last room to get attention. It is always ”almost there but not quite” but I get lazy because no one else really sees it. But in my old age I’ve been feeling like I want a nice, cozy bedroom where I might even escape during the day to curl up with a book.

With painting, that is. It looks a bit off bc it’s not dry, but it’s exactly what I wanted. Obvs the room isn’t put together yet!

I have a vintage wood chair that usually goes near the window but am hoping I can use a bench at the foot of the bed instead. The chair is mainly used for me to throw clothes on.

Already bought a mirror, still in the box. I hope I like it. I may try to hang it today. DH is out of town and I am impatient.

LOL but the bust is tempting.

I am so happy with the wall color, and the ceiling too! When it’s dark outside and I have only one lamp on, the ceiling looks the same color as the walls. In daylight, it looks almost off-white.

Painting the walls green, feels like a warm hug. It coordinates so well with the wallpaper. The room is coming along so nicely.

Njmomma, you’re right, the room feels entirely different to me now, so much warmer and cozier.

I got the Target mirror out of the box and I really like it. It is basic but the size and shape will be great, I think. And the light fixture is here already! I haven’t opened the box yet but DH can install it when he gets home at the end of the week. And the bed arrives Sat. morning, woohoo!
