I don't drink coffee either. When guests come, I break out the coffee machine, tell them where the coffee, sugar, and mugs are. I want to be accommodating to my guests but not to the point where I am staging an area of my kitchen for them that I don't use on a regular basis. Forget about what pintrest looks like. Make your kitchen functional.

I agree with @Kendrah. Don’t set up a coffee station only for guests. Your house needs to function for you.

The space doesn't look very empty to me. Even if you cleared everything off of the counters, there is a lot happening visually in this small space - appliances, decor, splash, counters, cabinetry. An empty counter is nice breathing space in this corner.

It’s a serious suggestion. You don’t drink coffee, the coffee corner is purely for looks and for guests, you have no other uses for this space. No-one knows what you consider an attractive Pinterest look, but you. So find one and replicate it.

(But do look up the coffee machine shown, and make sure it’s within your budget and your and your guests’ ability to operate it . So if you realize your fave Pinterest pic is showing $5,000 of espresso machine and grinder, then move to the next picture.)

I would not put any actual coffee/espresso cups on the open shelves- they will always be misfire guests until you freshen wash them. So they should be in closed storage. Except if you want to have one out for decoration. You could potentially display decorative tins of some coffee or tea though you’ll have to keep them dusted. Or a glass lidded container with little coffee spoons.
So if you want some pretty or interesting things when you use them, mainly you want your supplies in some nice containers or little baskets in the cabinet so they stay clean ( such as if you use Kcups or whatever, sugar bowl—and you pull them out when guests are over. A little spoon rest or special saucer for that. Little napkins maybe. But you don’t want stuff that’s used for eating ( drinking) looking grimy, and I would have a problem remembering to check everything/ washing up before guests especially if I have 8 or 10 cups & such sitting out.
For everyday display for YOU, I’d think more like a small vase of flowers or a cookie jar.

Since you are not a coffee drinker, keep that counter clear. You have a microwave above it, so use that space to manage any microwave foods. Then when company comes, bring out the coffee makers, sugar, cream, etc. We have a small Keurig machine and a Hamilton Beach 12 cup coffee maker. Both make wonderful coffee. The MW and shelves need to reverse position. Nothing worse than a right handed MW in a right hand corner. Getting things in and out is awkward. And as soon as you have any settling from the house or cabinets, the MW door will not open.

The only reason our coffee pot sits out is because we use it every day. Otherwise it is just an extra appliance, I would stow it.

Get a Keurig and keep a variety of pods, guest love choosing between caf or decaf, and different roasts. There are even half caf and they make tea pods too.

Yes, unless it’s in regular use stow it.
