Most people here will tell you that you already have a backsplash: the 4" riser of granite at the back of your counters. If you want to remove that and use tile instead, I'd look for something light, like one of the lightest colors in your counters. You can upload your photo to a tile site that has a visualizer (many of them do.) It helps to have a photo with a head-on, straight view of your backsplash wall.

you have to bring in samples and prop them up . there is likely a green that will work I'd say off hand.

Yep. You already have a backsplash - the 4" strip. If you want to add tile to the wall, remove the 4" strip before doing so. Herbflavor found some pretty colors. Love the grey sky with your cabinets and counters.
