I have my own Ottoman Empire!..years ago I found a deal on chairs..they were sold with an ottoman..I bought 6 chairs with 6 ottomans..3 pairs 3 different colors..had another ottoman that was purchased separately..surprisingly I have space and use all 7 of them..

I have multiple hosta empires..front, back and both sides of the house lol..

Ann, there's so many it could be. Antioch is an older one, but undulata Albomarginatas were widely sold back then, too.

Whenever I move I want to leave a list behind, but chances are the new people won't care at all.

oops..I forgot to say thank you Paula..🤦‍♀️

sandyslopes..I moved the "green and whites" to create what I considered a prettier design..I tried to plant the same kinds together..I agree that many hostas resemble each other..

I have a line of what I think? are Undulata Albomarginata by my garage..but who knows?..I could have a mix in the groups that I planted..the leaves seemed "wavier" to me..

Thank you Paula for starting the alphabet again. This is a wonderful way to pass the dreary winter days thinking by thinkin of spring and hostas!

This year wasn't a good year for my garden, 1st I had a late freeze and most of the new growth turned to mush, plants had to send out a new flush of leave which also had some frozen spots in the new leaves. When they came up there was white spots all over the leaves the white spots fell away leaving holes looking like massive slug damage. Second the deer regularly visited the garden. Next year I will try a sour milk spray which I have heard about.

My favorite time is when alphabet starting. Thank you Paula! Love everyone's pictures. Glad that site while with hiccups function. I too had a long of frost damage last year so had to wait for second regrow to start taking pictures and though I took tons of them ... Need to change how I take them.

Amalia as always is a queen of my garden. It is about 3 ft clump.

This is my year for labeling and organizing, am half way done with labels, miss spring!!!!

Old_dirt, could you look at August Moon Pic? I see far more corrugation, maybe am wrong.

lindalana - Thank you for your observation, I know I've mis-labeled before and will again. I've had this August Moon since 2007, only moved once. I think it becomes more corrugated as it ages and also later in the season. The data base in the Hosta Library does say it is corrugated and rugose.

It has taken me days to be able to post on this Hosta Forum. I was signed out (I never signed out) and couldn't get back in. Had to contact Houzz and they finally corrected the situation for me. Hopefully I will be able to post without issues.

This year has been challenging in that we got torrents of rain and the bugs were eating the plants! I thought the slugs were bad---and they certainly were around---but it wasn't until fall clean up that I was finding a lot of snails. Towards the end of summer, it was difficult to find even one leaf on a hosta that wasn't damaged. Disappointing.

So, now, hopefully, I will have a few pictures to add to this alphabet. Thank you for remembering us Paula!

Old_dirt, thank you! After looking at HL I see how it gets with age. Mine still nowhere near that but it was transplanted several times . Mbug and Debra, am hoping mine looks like yours next year, it was not doing well in a shade I stuck it.

Laurie, So happy you have been able to join us finally. So many people having houzz problems. I can’t post pics from my folders in houzz so I always have to use the good ole’ Hosta Forum for that.

Thank you Debra! It is great to finally be back on. Interesting and frustrating for you. Are you not on GW? That is what always shows in the url at the top of the page for me and I use the Photo button that takes me to my pics. It may be different for me since I am posting from a PC. You post from your phone...I think? Either way it seems Houzz has fixed the issues, at least I hope everyone can function properly now.

Well…I hear im not the only one with Houzz problems, I almost gave up. I was using the app, not working for the forum. I spent several frustrated days and finally got in today. Houzz customer service was NO help. I was unable to access for at least three weeks. So happy to be back!
