Cute dog. But this pic doesn't show us much. What rooms can you see from the others? What direction of light do you get? Are you drawn to warm, cold, dark, light? What are the views out of your window? A bit more info would be helpful.

The foyer and den you can see together. The kitchen is next room but you can’t see it from den. Only one window and woods in back yard. It has been hold for years. I do want some color so did not want to go all white or Grey. Large sectional Sofa is dark brown. Light from window is west.

The gold makes it a bit dingy I think. Maybe take a look at SW Alabaster, and then add a bit of color in your pillows, and other accessories, and maybe a new rug too.

Love the gold accents and great new muddy abstract painting. (I use the wordy muddy in the highest of praise!) I'm no color wizard, but these come to mind when looking at your new painting, at the background of your curtains, and your brown sofa. I think you are on a good trajectory with this room! Fun to see how small changes make a huge difference.
