Central Texas. Lots of what I generically refer to as 'red oaks' or more specifically Blackjacks and maybe some Spanish oaks. Lots of acorns this Fall. But I also get a lot of these little red 'berries' (for lack of a better term) along w/ the acorns. I 'think' these come off the oak trees - possibly in clusters around the falling leaves.
