Lots of mistakes...I wouldn't be going to the open house. Everything looks bargain shopping and the finish on the floor is too shiny.

Those can come down but the wide walkway from fireplace to get into kitchen has destroyed the option of a table anywhere around there. stupid to close in a bad kitchen . if you have a sub par kitchen but can at least make a dining zone you can live there anyway. where are they supposed to cram a seating area. This is kind of a bad joke .

This is a more or less median priced box-like semi-urban "ranch" (typically a shoe box-like long skinny half of a twin with front loading basement garages, although this is a single) that has been flipped, so I am assuming that this is hanging down where part of the original kitchen wall was. There's also no real reason for that to be a peninsula, there's just a skinny wall connecting it to the rest. I don't know why any of these particular decisions were made.

I did see the odd placement of the cabinets but didn't know what you wanted. Are you considering buying this home or just wanted comments on what it looks like. Haven't seen it in person but look like a DIY so I wouldn't buy.

I've spent the past 3 years or so looking for a retirement home (or land to build). Some of the things I saw were unbelievable! I would just shake my head, wonder what the heck they were thinking, mark them "discarded" and then move on. I'd much rather people left an old Kitchen alone and priced the house with a Kitchen remodel in mind!
