That cut out was meant for the tv… now? Maybe get sections of log cut and fit into that area?

Why didn’t you buy a tv that fit where it was supposed to and then get a piece of art? Of course you wouldn’t want a big blank wall. Oh well. Paint a board black and attach cut sections of birch log to it to fill the space. At least it will look intentional

I agree the TV is in the wrong place. It violates your great casual luxury vibe at that height.

The electrician is not a designer. The reality is because of the heat it needs to go elsewhere - not 6 ft off the ground. Honestly, it looks terrible there. And it looks like it is tilted forward - what's up with that? It would look better jammed in to the left of your fireplace. How big is the opening and how big is the TV? How often do you use your fireplace?

Ouch.😓 hurts to see it up there. Put the TV in the cut out and a large framed piece of art in place of the TV. It will feel and look better for many reasons.
