Hosta N 2024 .. . . . ... . . .. .

last year

Now it is cold. Frozen AC cannot go outside without half of my wardrobe, greenhouse lights on 24/7. Actually, I was having a good time outside playing Fire Marshal Bill and checking my neighbor's ac units too. Who knows what is up for today.

So, because I have freezing rain this morning, which is ice, show some N hostas to keep us warm.

got ya!

Mine is broken today!

Show the Ns photos taken when it was warmer.

Have a great day!

Neptune I love the colors in this plant

Night Before Christmas with more sun

Night Before Christmas not so much sun after it went into the greenhouse. Next year he will get a better sunspot. The weird hanging things are orchid roots.

Beautiful Narcissus. I can never decide if they smell good or not. But I still take a wiff.

We still use the old solar clothes dryer when the weather is good., gets us outside and gets the outside in.

Night Before Christmas - Old picture, I've basically given up on this one, it gets so ragged from slugs and falling debri it is just plain ugly. I've tried moving it around and even potting it up but not much better.

Lol Paula the bus drivers & pilots. We need that dark humor. Keep warm.

    Nice NL indianagirl.

It seems a lot of us have the beautiful Neptune, all looking good. Very nice NBCs too.

Ann such cheery flowers Narcissus have.

Beth your NE still looks good. Debra I have always admired Nigrescens. Wow on the scapes.

    I have two N's.......I think.

This is sort of Niagara Falls. Used to be Bridal Falls, but no more! I posted a 2022 pic of BF below.

Bridal Falls 5-29-22......you can see some of the leaves starting to turn solid in the lower left. It was just starting to mature nicely. I was sorry to see her go!!!

My regular old normal Night before Christmas

So Mike, you got rid of Bridal Falls rather than separate out the reversion???? How frivolous of you, lololo 😊
I still think it looks great! Your NBC is terrific too!

Never odd or even. I’ve never seen that one before. Clever people who notice these things.

I like the blues so I’m especially liking all the Neptunes here. Beautiful hosta.

Old_dirt, I moved NBC a few times before mine dwindled away. It seems to be a finicky one for some of us.

Mbug/Mike, that’s too bad about your Bridal Falls. It was so pretty before, and it seems like it happened so fast! And the current green one doesn’t look to have the form of NF, either. I had a similar experience with Brother Stefan. From special to plain green before I knew what was happening. I moved it into more sun thinking that was the problem, but no.

Ann, what?!? You have daffodils now? Is that normal for your area in January? I’m still two or more months away from seeing even my early ones. But they’re very pretty and makes it look like it’s already spring at your house.
