I had mentioned to a friend how I had a hard time finding pecans at a reasonable price before Christmas for my Christmas cookies. So today she brought me a big bag of beautiful whole pecans from Costco. I didn't mention that earlier this week, I'd found pecans on CLEARANCE at the grocery store - half the price I'd paid a month ago. So I bought two bags. Expiration wasn't for 9 months, so they weren't old.

So what can I make? Quick breads, muffins, pastries, candy.... I'd welcome tried and true suggestions.

But not pecan pie. I don't make good pie, and I am not a fan anyway. I'll make some candied pecans for salads, but I don't need pounds of them.
