help with kitchen window trim and tile application

I'm looking for advice on window trim size and placement as well as tile application. One photo shows the 3x9 tile orientation (50-50 offset brick). The window is about 85" including trim and covers most of the wall.

The casing will get removed, trimmed down in length and moved inward to eliminate one reveal. A 3/4" stool will create a reveal at the bottom as well. Is that an appropriate solution?

I like the look of a clean stool under kitchen windows with tile around (no apron) but I'm concerned that cutting 9" tiles lengthwise may look odd, and I'm not sure about tiling over the edge of the drywall (on top of spray foam or framing lumber). It's not traditional but turning the tile 90 degrees and cutting in half would be a clean solution that I see done sometimes. A third option is leaving the whole course of tile on the bottom and adding a small apron to fill the space.

I wouldn't worry about covering the foam and wood with tile as long as you leave a small gap to fill with colored caulk. What looks worrying is how far some of the sheetrock sticks out.

Are you sure you have room to have mortar and tile installed and not stick out beyond the sill? A sliver of tile might look odd but cutting lengthwise with half a tile left is preferable to changing directions of the tile under the window IMO.

You're showing........essentially nothing we can advise. Show the kitchen in entirety. All of it. Not loving that tile with your counter top, at all.

I've learned from your past and plentiful critcisms (both of you) that we have very different tastes; you need not love the tile.. As stated, this post seeks finish carpentry and millwork guidance, if you have it.

@mojavemaria I can see why you say that. There's some compromised sheetrock right at that seam but it is flush with the wood molding above the foam (I think that's where you see concern). Maybe I should pull it out and build it back up smooth and solid with new material before tiling.

So as always my advice is if you do not want answers don't ask questions and once you get the answers ignore what yu don't want. As designers we do not look at one little area in a space but the overall feel and scheme of the space . I have no idea what you are dealing with with that pic . Tostrat is thee a sink there ? If not you do not need backsplash often that is what a pic of the whole space shows .
