Help with living room!

Hi! looking for some feedback on how to spruce up my living room / dining room in my condo.

1) what can i put in the corner behind my couch? ive had a small table with a lamp for many years, thinking i could use a tall plant or a tall floor lamp? or both?

2) On the large TV wall, I plan to get rid of the bar cart on the left (waiting for someone to snatch it on marketplace). disregard the table in front thats new kitchen table. i have a

desk in corner (which can always be removed). im thinking i need a new or different / larger media console. Thinking something with some rattan to tie into my wood coffee table (mayeb the west elm ida console table)?? i also need something on the wall to the right

3) any suggestions for dining chairs for the pottery barn owen table (greyed wash) in the extended version which will be right next to this in the same room?

I'd drop the tv down and retain a wall mount. Add a slim wall mounted console and increase the tv size to 65 or 77. I'd also increase the lounging potential of your couch by replacing the coffee table with a large ottoman. It can take a tray when needed.

If you want to do more in finishing the tv wall, it could be painted a darker color or covered with vertical wood fluting, for example.

Thanks Dan! i appreciate that feedback. The TV and coffee table were the two items I was hoping to keep. The TV is 65”…the wall is just rather large so it appears smaller in the 0.5x zoom :)

TV wall: remove everything except for the TV. Get a wider console. Then nothing else on that wall. I would go for an arc type floor lamp in the corner.

Wide console in blue would add some needed color to the room.

Lower your TV so it is at eye level when you are seating on the sofa. How far away is the TV from the sofa? It looks quiet far.

The artwork in the corner behind the sofa is hung too high. The center of the image should be at your eye level, or the stand is center of the image + 56" above floor level. Once the art is hung at the right height this corner would look better.

What are you lighting needs? How well lit is this room at night, do you have enough room to see for different tasks in different areas of the room? This will determine whether you need a light in the corner. If have a lamp in the corner, do you have to walk to the corner to turn it on or is the outlet connected to a switch?

I think new pillows on your sofa could really change the whole look of the room.

Agree with @jck910 and @Kendrah: Get everything off the tv wall and buy a long console in a color. Buy padded chairs for the dining room where you can remove the seat and cover with fabric that works with the colored console.

Yes, the tv is a good size but drop it down a bit. Your neck will be happier. Center it over the new console and that wall will be good.

Keep in mind that artwork should be at eye level so people can appreciate it. Lower the one in the corner.

After you buy your colored console, the couch could use some fun pillows that bring in that color as well. Buy patterned ones to mix in with plain colored ones and it will brighten up the couch.

The desk is fine where it is.
