I have 10ft hight ceilings. I want to install upper cabinets above my peninsula

Is this a new build or remodel?

is the peninsula in the center of the room, dividing the kitchen from a dining space?

Do you need more storage? Do all your cabinets go to the ceiling?

Remodel. My wall cabinets come in tomorrow. Currently have an island. Very shortly DIY previously. Tearing island out next. Want to do an L shipped peninsula with uppers. Need more storage

New Peninsula will be "L" shaped. But against the exterior wall. Opposite of the pic

I personally would not hang uppers over a peninsula, it closed in the space too much.

can you find a spot for a pantry style cabinet, verticle, like in a corner?

EDIT first.

you'll be surprised how many things you can do without.

How can you have cabinets coming when you do not have a complerte plan and IMO no way in that drak space to hang cabinets over the peninsula. It was a bad idea years ago still is and honestly I have no idea what you are doing and what those pics show.

The only cabinets I have coming are for the wall area. I didn't buy a bunch of cabinets with no plan. The island into a peninsula is the next stage🤦‍♂️

Post another picture when your cabinets are installed but I would try to find another space for storage instead of upper cabinets above the peninsula.

Before hanging cabinets over your peninsula hang a solid piece of fabric or cardboard where you think the cabinets might work. Stand in the kitchen and try to hold a conversation with people standing on the other side.

We removed our sight blocking, over the peninsula cabinets years ago. Have never missed them.
