7 Large Ferns live outside at the house we bought. They've thrived with no help, but 3 of them suffered in the fires. The other four are happy as ever.

They've outgrown their large pots, and while I've chopped off the die back, it does appear that I should probably try to unseat them, cut off the bottom die off and replant?

Suggestions on approach?
