Well - I don’t think seeing a bit of the cord is too big of a deal because we all accept that cords are needed for electric lamps to work. But, here’s what I did with my cords for lamps on tables in middle of the room - no wall to hide cords. I ran the cord down inside of closest table leg & used museum wax on inside of table leg to adhere cord to leg. That wax doesn’t damage furniture but it can dry out after awhile & the cord falls out of the wax. I then tried adhering a small 3M no damage hook to the inside of the leg & attached a zip tie cut to size with the cord runnging through the zip tie loop. The loop is held by the 3M hook. The excess cord is tied up / bundled up next to the floor outlet hidden under the chair. All very tidy. It’s kind of like hiding electronics cords around a desk.

By having better overhead lighting.

Cut the cord…..put a wireless rechargeable light bulb in the lamp..Amazon!

I’m not wild about the level of light with the rechargeable. Maybe you know a brand that is better?

Command hooks can guide the cord down the table legs.

You do know that all of those "perfect" design photos get photoshopped, right?

They erase cords, recessed lights and whatever else they want.
