My C. quadriloculare recently went from very nice to very ratty.

Sadly I had to yank it out because it never leafed out. It became a dry sooty stick. However, in true Clerodendrum style, it left some babies behind so I am thinking of trying to transplant a baby to a better location.

My C. q. next lost all leaves. They recovered, now look good.

I was sad to see it go but I am now kind of glad it's gone. It was worse than bamboo. It sent runners about 10 feet away under my climbing rose (ouch trying to pluck them). I am still pulling the runners after six months!
