Engineered hardwood in Michigan sunroom

last year

I'm looking into putting engineered white oak on the ceiling of an insulated sunroom. My contractor was planning on using 1x6 tongue and groove cedar, but that aesthetic completely clashes with our more modern home. My biggest concern about the engineered wood on the ceiling is that we live in Michigan and in July it might be 90°, whereas in February, it might be 0°. Does anyone have experience with engineered hardwood in a non-conditioned space? Is it going to explode like the Death Star?
