At a loss for rug size for this family room space. We photos. The full width of the chaise with sofa is just over 10ft (123"). Also, next to the chaise side is the kitchen island and behind the sofa is a walkway. Also infront of both is a porcelin fireplace hearth same level as the hardwood floor.
I plan on putting 2 small c tables on side of each side of the sofa chaise. They will be no more than 10" wide but will tuck above the sofa arms to be maybe 5" out on each side.
Also have a 24" deep coffee table coming that will just be in the sofa part of the couch but it but its depth will take it about 8" past the front edege of the chaise
Need help validating asthetic assumptions:
The rug should end with some distance before the porcelin hearth such that there's still some hardwood floor showing
The rug should not go past the back of the couch as not to infringe on the walkway
The rug should not go past the side of the chaise up not infringe on the walkway between island and chaise but that would mean the side c tables would not be on the rug on either side
