Layer Chops top is finished

This is Layer Chops by Donna Jordan. This is one of those quilts that had me asking, "What was I thinking?" while I was making it. Now that it's finished, I rather like it. It finished at 54 x 63. The colors are warmer than they show in the photo.

That’s an interesting quilt, Lois. I’ve done a similar one called mosaic, but all the fabrics were stacked up and cut the same way. Yours look all different.

I really like it! I have looked at the pattern a few times and then get frightened off by those thin strips..

Obviously you don’t frighten easily!!!😱😱😨

Way cute. Next you can put together a stained glass quilt because you are an expert on thin black strips.

It’s not a difficult pattern at all. The strips are cut 1” wide. You draw a line across the middle of the strip. You make a diagonal cut across the 10” square and draw a line across the seam allowance on either side of the cut at about the middle of the cut. Then you line them up and sew. Simple.

Nice job, Lois. I have seen that pattern, too. It reminds me on one a did a few years back for my now daughter-in-law called Fractured.
