I have seen quite a few Bestas (and other IKEA items used for storage in a dining room) that have looked very nice.

This Besta was made to look like a $3,000 piece from Arthaus (I think that's correct)

The next three photos use an IKEA KALLAX as the base. This next ones has been changed by adding diy fluting + paint + gold handles and legs

Some of the above took some effort (like the fluted Besta with the curved sides that was made to look like a specific piece of furniture) - while most simply added some fluting/rattan/overlays (pretty simple). The trick is to paint and/or change the doors (plus, you can add a top that spans the length of the piece of furniture so that it looks like it's all one piece).

I like that idea

The nice think about using an IKEA cabinet as a base, you can customize how long you want it to be. Plus, you can decide to do a floating one or have one with a built-in look - or just one with some cool legs. There are really endless ideas out there - people have made hacking IKEA cabinets into an art form!

I have this Besta set up, do you think I could try use overlay for lower cabinets and leave glass as they are? Or shuld I just completely replace all the door with something that looks more expensive?

option 2. chrome silver pattern, since I have dining set with chrome legs

This is what I have now, I looked some options and found overly that I liked or thinking to replace just door from ikea for something that wuld give more expensive look. not sure if any of these wuld works.
