I agree, in front of vanity. When the shower is used, the rug can be moved easily next to tub but since it's not used much, I think just in front of vanity looks nice.

I'm not sure I love the blue. Does it come in a darkish lavender to match the shower curtain (which I do love) and towels?

I only use a mat for the shower or tub and then hang it over the tub side or rolled up on the back of the toilet I see no point in a mat on a bathoom floor just like not in the kitchen just one more thing to clean and for sure never in front of a toilet

I agree with Patricia Colwell. If the mat isn't being used on a regular basis would suggest not keeping it on the floor but would store somewhere else when it is being used. And, as others have said, it really only is needed when someone steps out of the tub/shower.

Is this the actual color rug you are thinking about? The intense color appears to be at odds with this room.

I would probably buy a tan-ish color to blend with the floor and walls.

A MAT is for a step from the shower only: ) Keep it out of sight over tub edge when not in use.
