Best way to get help is to draw a floor plan of the room. Use graph paper and mark all doors, windows etc with measurements. The room does not look rectangular in the pictures. What is that on the ceiling? It makes the room look top heavy. Can it be painted the ceiling color? What is the wall on the left of the white cabinets?

You need to show the whole space—all four sides of an entire space—even if it’s about one specific Dilemma. Commenters need to see doorways, windows, closets, finishes throughtout the space to make informed suggestions.

State right at the beginning what the room will be used for and who will use it. State the non-negotiables at the beginning, what has to be kept. Give some idea of the budget. And provide approximate measurements

Keep in mind that you're inviting some design pros and people with a design eye into your home via photos. If they walked into your actual space, they would take in all of it: all four sides, doorways, floors, windows, ceiling, built-in fixtures, lighting, trim--the "givens"--then the features that can be changed--furnishings, paint, art, rugs, decor items, etc. It's all one first impression. Same thing with photos. That's why it's important to provide well lit photos of the entire space, taken from all sides of a room regardless of the size of your problem.

I would lower the TV to centered at eye level.

for me, I would put down a large area rug centered on the patio doors nearest the fireplace. arrange the furniture ON the rug to create a comfortble TV viewing/conversation area.

Do you have a separate dining room? or will you be setting half of this room up for dining?

How about two chairs by the fireplace and then a seating area for viewing by the tv? By all means draw this out on graph paper and get a large area rug.

Looks like a nice sized room. Any thoughts on replacing the furniture or some of it?

Your panoramic photos are awful. Just take straight on photos from all four sides of the room that includes entryway, from the kitchen, etc. Must have measurements. What is that setup under the stairs?????

Square off the sofa and loveseat into an L configuration facing the TV and fireplace. The single recliner can be at an angle near the fireplace facing the TV and the other seating.

A light colored area rug large enough to fit the seating -or at least the front legs- and a nice big coffee table.

Remove the greige easy chair...no more overstuffed furniture added to the existing.
