Tile for outdoor kitchen

last year

I need some advice. I am looking to build an outdoor kitchen and this is what I want it to look like. My contractor gave me two tile options for the veneer.

The first one is 4x16 jet black basalt limestone (maravilla brand)

The second one is 12x24 porcelain tile (milano night contemporary)

I like the look of the limestone. It has a shine to it without being glossy. The porcelain tile is flatter in color and texture (no shine), almost matte with a laminate look.

Is the basalt limestone okay for outdoor use? My kitchen will sit under a gazebo and will get 3-4 hours of sun max. Does it need a lot of maintenance? My contractor said I won't need to seal it.
