lightbulb neck extender solution

I have a ceiling fixture that takes G40 round bulbs with the E26 base. I want white bulbs and found some G50 bulbs from Emery Allen (same specs but larger globe). They are beautiful, but the neck is short. When it is screwed in, it isn’t quite long enough to make a connection with the socket so it doesn’t light up. The bulbs work. They will work with the fixture if they can extend just a bit. We bought socket extenders but they make the bulbs stick down 1.2” and just look weird. I think I need something like a disk inside that can bridge the gap like the thickness of a penny or something 1/4”. If this is making sense and you know of something safe that can be done to make the bulbs touch the fixture’s socket, I’d love to know. No need to suggest other bulbs. I have Tala G40 bulbs picked out if there is no safe extension for the G50s. Thanks!
