Any way that freezes effiently and keeps the water migration to a minimum, freezer burn ditto, and the food isn't mushy when thawed, is good. I like using containers because they're reusable, and they maintain the required space for proper cold air circulation automatically, but sometimes bags just work better. Thanks for sharing.

@angelaid_gw, I'm pretty sure what jally means is that she makes chicken salad, which is usually chopped cooked chicken mixed with mayonnaise and other add ins, like chopped celery, maybe a whisper of onion etc, then portions it into baggies, forms the baggie portions into rolls then put the rolls into a larger baggie.

Touche, and not at all. I'm quite the opposite of a comedian by nature. But sometimes one dredges up such comments from one's dead-matter for the sole purpose of attempting to point out (and diffuse) unwarranted assumptions.
