Could we possibly get an explanation for why we were unable to post new topics for days?

In addition to not being able to post a new thread, it was not possible to sort threads by most recent either. Sorting by most recent brought up a wild hodge-podge of mess.

I am glad you posted this, I thought I did something wrong and even posted a test response to my post, still could not see it. Then today I received responses.

Very happy it's all working properly now.

Emily, how did you become aware there was an issue?

I didn't realize anything was wrong but I did notice that the boards were DEAD! Now I know why!

@arkansas girl, people were talking about it, but only in existing threads, since no one could post a new thread, so if you didn't happen to be following the particular threads where it was being discussed, it would have been hard to know what was happening.

Thank you Emily! It would be nice to know how you became aware so we would know the most effective method of contact. It went on so long, I finally wondered if anyone had actually reported it, or were we all just grousing in .the existing threads, So I sent an email to the tech department I think it was late on Monday afternoon and it was fixed fairly soon after that.

Someone on Design Dilemma reported "Chiding" Houzz on social media, which made me cringe, since this is a free site for us all and we should be nicer than that to you all.

Chiding Houzz? For not updating their site and not monitoring its reliability when the traffic on these boards is valuable to their advertisers?

Who would do such a thing? 🙄

Olychick, she, the vsip, would be no loss at all if she never posted. Her ideas are outdated and do not even answer the question.

So glad to hear things are working better! I learned of the issue through our support team, so extra thanks for those of you who took a moment to send in a support ticket. That is very helpful for us!

For those asking for more information - there was a bug impacting a few different items updating (for example, new editorial content was also not appearing in the app and our RSS feed was not updating). Our team was able to find the cause and address it.
