Garage Door - Decorative Hardware Help

I am replacing the garage door - it will be white with long horizontal beaded panels and windows across the top panel. My door is a one double car - 16' wide. I am trying to determine if I should go with 4 hinges and 1 set or handles or go the route of 8 hinges and 2 sets of handles - or, just go with 2 sets of handles. I don't want it to look busy or too bare either. Also, if I go with hinges, most go with the bottom hinges near the bottom of the door, which seems off to me but if you move them up, with 2 double handles, the hinges make the door look too busy. Just too many options and I can't decide. Unfortunately, I don't the opportunity to pick up some magnetic ones to play with the design. Any recommendations would be helpful.

If your new door style is going to be horizontal panels I do not feel hinges look as nice as when they are on vertical patterned doors. HOWEVER, it also depends on your door and the style of your house so pictures of what you are going to be getting as well as your house style will help.

Our house has a side entry and we don’t have any windows on that side. First pic shows an online mockup with the door style and hardware. The second pic shows an example of the front of our home - colors/style and it has a wrap around front porch. We will also be adding a wider side trim and much larger top piece with a keystone. Our lights are a carriage style lantern.

The hinges in the middle of a double door look extra fake, so I would skip those.

When I got custom wood doors done for my previous house, it was a Spanish style house, so I just had handles installed in the middle and some clavos (nails). The handles were beefy metal, solidly screwed though the door and could actually be used to help lift the doors during a power failure.

For the new house, that has composite garage doors painted brown, I didn't add anything to the doors that would have obviously looked fake.

keep it as simple as possible. The windows look very small and busy. I would choose a more simple style, moulding..
