Yes, but why is everything so small? Tiny mirror, tiny lights hung too low. You have a large vanity with a massive expanse of counter (yay!) and the smallest lights and mirror you could find. You have such an opportunity for a statement on that wall with a great mirror and much larger sconces. I would start there before I started acquiring art.

our house was built in the 70s and thats just the way it was when we moved in. we have renovated the majority of the house working with what we have. yes, we could endure the expense of moving the electrical and moving and/or enlarging the lights but chose not to do so. trying to work with what we have

Kind of looks like an alcove area. If it is, maybe consider a wallpaper to add some color design which could disguise the blankness there.

I wouldn’t waste money trying to balance as I can’t see the placement/size of mirror and lightening ever feeling right.
Maybe live with it for a bit and when budget/time allows consider how to improve both the functionality and visuals.

The mirror and lighting are not functional. Do you do hair and makeup in the bathroom? Set it up for what your needs are, and then find the products that help.

I agree with others about the odd fixtures.

But, if you’re looking to work with it as is, how about something like these?

I would keep an eye out at consignment and antique stores. I have found great statement mirrors there at really reasonable prices. Your house appears newish so moving electric is usually pretty easy.

You could put three taller mirrors up across the wall.

I vote for wallpaper. And a new mirror even if you don’t change the size.

( I wouldn’t do art or mirrors on the sides of the current mirror because I think it’ll accentuate the small size of the current mirro. I’d let it “just be” )
